What it doesn't look like to ask for what you need

Suffering in silence.
Procrastinating.
Complaining.
Gossiping.
Brooding.
Stressing.
Settling.
Bullying.
Belittling.
Scheming.
Screaming.

It's not about asking for permission.

It's not about waiting for someone else to show up with the answer.

It's not about letting the negativity build until you're desperate for something to change.

Instead, it's about asking yourself what's next, being truthful about the action you want to take, and having the fortitude to follow through.

In its most ideal expression, asking for what you need comes with clarity, respect and grace – taking action in a way that makes you and those around you breathe a sigh of relief.

Asking for what you need is an act of service. It's the release valve that gets you back in the flow of purpose.
