"Paradox but Possible" (#15NTCparadox)

Thank you to everyone who attended the panel discussion for "Paradox but Possible: Hardcore on Work AND Life" at the 2015 Nonprofit Technology Conference!

At the heart of the discussion was an awareness that we as nonprofit folks are so dedicated and hard working...

...and that we need help to learn how to sustain ourselves so that we can keep doing our important work. We heard from every single person in the room with questions on tips on:

  • Learning how to say no
  • Asking for what you need
  • Owning your schedule
  • Assessing your strengths

The last point is a particular passion of mine. During the panel discussion, I mentioned StrengthsFinder 2.0 as a tool for assessing your strengths:

I believe in the power of building awareness of your own strengths, and then assertively choosing your actions based on those strengths. When you align your actions with what you feel great about doing, others can feel confident about partnering with you to get things done.

I'll share more over the next couple of weeks on amplifying your strengths. In the meantime, you can still join in on the Paradox but Possible discussion:
